Jeff Fields recognized in Inaugural Chief Information Officer Awards
GALLATIN, Tenn. (Grassroots Newswire) October 2, 2014 – The Nashville Business Journal recognized Jeff Fields, Chief Information Officer for Servpro Industries, Inc., as one of Middle Tennessee’s top-rated CIOs at their inaugural Chief Information Officer Awards luncheon October 1st.
The CIO Awards were designed to honor CIOs in Middle Tennessee who utilize information technology (IT) to proactively advance company initiatives, competitive advantage and optimize business processes. Nominations were accepted and winners were selected by an independent panel of judges. Honorees were chosen based on the IT programs, processes and initiatives the initiated and executed between January 2013 - May 2014; Fields was one of four recognized in the Medium Private Company category—100-500 employees; in all, 22 Chief Information Officers were recognized.
“It was a great honor to receive a CIO Award in our Company Category,” said Fields. “A lot of people on our Team work hard to provide our Company and our Franchises the best systems we can to sustain our number one place in our Industry. I was honored to be named for this award along with the other great CIOs in the Nashville area.”
Jeff Fields joined Servpro Industries, Inc. in 2012 as the company’s Chief Information Officer; he is responsible for managing/mentoring the technology team, leading and directing SERVPRO’s technology development projects, and provides ongoing technical oversight of the Company’s products and services. Previously, Fields served as the CIO of Magazines.com, one of the oldest and largest magazine subscription companies on the internet. Earning his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, he believes the delivery of quality, appropriate, reliable, and affordable technology services is the key attribute of a high performing information technology department. In June of this year, Fields was a Sumner County Impact Award winner; the Impact Awards, also given by the Nashville Business Journal, honor the leaders, community supporters, business owners and developers who are leading the charge for improvements and economic development for Sumner County.
