Servpro Industries, Inc. Chief Information Officer Honored Second Consecutive Year by Nashville Business Journal
Jeff Fields recognized second year Cheif Informational Officer Awards
GALLATIN, Tenn. (Grassroots Newswire) October 30, 2015 - The Nashville Business Journal recognized Jeff Fields, Chief Information Officer for Servpro Industries, Inc., as one of Middle Tennessee’s top-rated CIOs at their second annual Chief Information Officer Awards luncheon October 23, 2015.
The Nashville Business Journal’s CIO Awards winners are the top technological executives in Middle Tennessee who are using IT in innovative ways to create a competitive advantage, optimize business procedures, enable company growth and impact the company's bottom line. Nominations were first accepted from the public, nominees completed a questionnaire and the winners were selected by an independent panel of judges. Fields was one of three recognized in the Medium Private Company category—101-500 employees; in all, 20 Chief Information Officers were recognized.
“It was a great honor to receive a CIO Award in our Company Category for the second year in a row,” said Fields. “We have a fantastic team that works hard to provide the best technology advances for our Company and our Franchises so we can continue our growth and stay on top in our industry. Nashville has a lot of IT talent in the area and we are excited to be part of that group.”
Fields joined Servpro Industries, Inc. in 2012 as the company’s Chief Information Officer; he is responsible for managing/mentoring the technology team, leading and directing SERVPRO’s technology development projects, and provides ongoing technical oversight of the Company’s products and services. In August of this year, he was named one of Servpro Industries, Inc.’s newest members of the executive team. Previously, Fields served as the CIO of Magazines.com, one of the oldest and largest magazine subscription companies on the internet. Earning his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, he believes the delivery of quality, appropriate, reliable, and affordable technology services is the key attribute of a high performing information technology department. In June 2014, Fields was a Sumner County Impact Award winner; the Impact Awards, also given by the Nashville Business Journal, honor the leaders, community supporters, business owners and developers who are leading the charge for improvements and economic development for Sumner County.
