All attendees will receive the commemorative Jaws at 50, a collection of rare photos, stories, and memories from the 1975 filming around the harbor. More events celebrating the film’s anniversary are expected through the summer.

We started construction on a new bathroom and the contractor advised us there was a lot a black mold hidden from view. Our contractor recommended SERVPRO and a couple of others, and I called SERVPRO first. I should note that I live on Nantucket and it can be very difficult to get any work done, especially if you are dealing with people off Island. Christy in their office was knowledgeable and helpful. She got things scheduled very efficiently.
Will arrived to inspect and was on time. I found out that this SERVPRO office was a family business and it was clear to me that Will took pride in that. Unfortunately for us, we had a major mold problem that extended to several rooms. He walked me through what they would do, which included cleaning and installing a vapor barrier in our crawlspace.
The crew who came to do the work was very professional, very thorough and cleaned up after themselves. The work took several days to complete. We also got advice about how to avoid this problem in the future (use of dehumidifiers, which areas to do a more thorough cleaning and using anti-mold paint).
Several weeks later our contractor removed more wallboard and to my horror, there was Black mold everywhere. I called SERVPRO right away and Will came over to do another inspection and estimate (no charge for this). Once again right on time and he told us that we didn't need their services. The plywood with the mold was going to be removed by our contractor. He said that is all we would need. He confirmed our contractor's opinion that this was not an active site and pointed out places where the new construction would have to be adapted. Our contractor was in complete agreement.
I cannot recommend SERVPRO more highly as people who do excellent work when you need it and tell you when you don't need it.
