Bourne, MA, is home to the Cape Cod Canal, an engineering marvel completed in 1914. Before its construction, mariners navigated the treacherous waters around Cape Cod at risk of shipwrecks and delays. The canal significantly shortened maritime routes, and a community developed around it.

The 2025 Tour De Taverns takes place at Flying Bridge Restaurant in Falmouth on June 14th. PAL of Cape Cod is holding this restaurant-hopping event to fund local children in need. Attendees can pick up a poker card at each location, and whoever has the best hand wins a $100 prize.

The Falmouth Historical Society and Falmouth Garden Club have partnered to present their summer garden tour of five gardens, each one led by Falmouth Garden Club members. Tours are on Tuesdays and Saturdays on select dates between June and October. The first tours will start on June 17th at the Falmouth Historical Society.

On June 24th at 6:00 PM, bestselling authors Meg Mitchell Moore and Wendy Francis will be hosting "Book Talk," a panel about their writing journeys, the creative process, and using storytelling to connect with audiences while also discussing their latest summer reads. This panel will be hosted at Book Love in Plymouth and runs until 7:30.
