Omro is a city in Winnebago County, approximately 10 miles west of Oshkosh along, the Fox River. Like most of the cities in the Fox Valley area, its roots can be traced back to the American Indians. The city of Omro was once Winnebago Indian territory. But with the arrival of French explorers in 1639, the area eventually became a fur trading post. The city gets its name from Charles Omereau, an early French settler who was a trader and a black smith. The first modern settlers came to the area in 1847. Again, like most of the cities in the Fox Valley, it was attractive to settlers due to its location on the Fox River, giving it a transportation route and abundant water for industrial use. By 1880, Omro had become a stop on the railroad line and was home to several mills, a glass factory, carriage factories and several machine works.
Today most of this industry is gone due to changes in the paper industry and other industries or has moved east to Oshkosh. But in 1986 Omro started a revitalization process to spark new growth. Downtown Omro has been designated as a historic downtown district. This district contains fourteen late nineteenth century and early twentieth century one to three story commercial brick buildings in the historic commercial core. People interested in history may take a historic downtown tour. Interested parties can select different tour lengths as well as modes of transportation, either walked, bicycled, or driven. Properties on the tour have been chosen for geographical location, original architecture, historical importance, and willingness of property owners to be part of the tour.

Joyce and Deb also worked expertly with my insurance adjuster and dealt with all my questions and concerns. They told me exactly what to expect and what my next steps would be. Then Deb took over for the rebuild.....Deb took care of everything to make sure it was all taken are of from carpentry to electricians to plumbers. Deb was unflappable whether it was a delay in Home Depot shipping all my flooring or a new commode that was delivered broken. She made sure our project kept moving forward. Constant communication was key and Deb was exceptional! Bottom line the repairs were done in 5 weeks. They finished the night before the wedding. All of the guests were so impressed with how wonderful the house looked. That is due to SERVPRO's staff and their effectiveness. You gave me back my home not just my house. Thank you somehow doesn't seem to cover it!"

Dear Mr. Snyder, My sister and I wanted to express our appreciation & gratitude to you and your awesome team at SERVPRO.
