Sandbridge is a coastal community of Virginia Beach.  The Atlantic Ocean is to the east, The Back Bay of the Currituck Sound is to the west, False Cape State Park is to the south.  Sandbridge boarders the U.S. Navy’s Dam Neck facility on the north.  Sandbridge Beach stretches 4.5 miles from north to south along the oceanfront.  It is known for its remote location and receives a smaller number of visitors than the main Virginia Beach resort strip located a few miles to its north.  This coastal community consists of four condominium buildings however, most of the residential properties are available for rent on a weekly, or monthly basis and many sleep up to 20 people making Sandridge the perfect spot for your family getaway.  Sandbridge is the hometown of Major League Baseball third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, he now owns a vacation home there, also former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell owns two properties in Sandbridge.
