The Town of Irmo stretches among Lexington and Richland Counties in South Carolina. The northern neighbor of the State Capital, Columbia. Irmo stretches about 6 square miles among several groupings of neighborhoods, packed with places to dine, shop, and live!

Irmo’s biggest draw is the Town’s annual Okra Strut. A festival that began as a fundraiser for a new library, has now become a local tradition. Large crowds gather each year in the central part of Irmo for two days of food, music, crafts, rides, and vendors! Attendance has been as high as 60,000 in years past, raising funds to improve the town and community.

The Irmo area does not typically experience heavy rainfalls or flooding as it is far enough from Lake Murray, where water levels can be controlled by the man-made dam. However, any residential or commercial structure is susceptible to a burst pipe, overflowing toilet or leaking roof! I'm not sure which location he is out of but hopefully he has an opportunity to see this as my gratitude. Arty was super attentive and truly understood what needed to be done.
