Jacob Gunkle built a Lutheran Church in the Pine Grove area around 1782. Nutting Hall, completed in 1825, and the Pine Grove Historic District joined the National Register of Historic Places. The town was incorporated sometime between 1830 and 1832.

Residents enjoy nearby Sweet Arrow Lake County Park, spending the day hiking, going on picnics, boating, birding, environmental education, and fishing. Swimming is not allowed, and dogs must remain on a leash. The park is a fantastic place to enjoy time with the family and enjoy the outdoors. If you like baseball, you can also take in a baseball game at the Walter Stump Stadium at the Veterans Memorial Field. It is home to the Pind Grove Areas baseball team.

They arrived and quickly extracted all of the water from my basement, removed all of the damaged materials, and explained to me what the different equipment they set up does.
