The small Village of Mogadore, resting on the banks of the Little Cuyahoga River, has a rich and intriguing history. Founded in 1807 by Ariel Bradley, who worked as a spy for George Washington during the American Revolution when he was just nine years old, Mogadore was first dubbed “Bradleyville.” The town name changed to “Mogadore” meaning “beautiful” in Arabic in 1825 when a builder proclaimed “Mogadore” after building a home there.
