The Great Geauga County Fair was born in 1823 and since the mid-1800s, it has has been held continuously in Burton once the County Fairgrounds was permanently established there. The "Great" in the Fair's name and seal was officially added in this century to signify the Fair's seniority standing as the "Great Granddaddy" of Ohio's county fairs! Today, it is now held annually each Labor Day weekend, and is the "grand finale" highlight to Geauga County's summer fun events.
