Pacific, Missouri was originally called, The Town of Franklin until the Pacific Railroad laid tracks in the town in1853. Slowly, the town started taking shape; a post office opened in 1854, and the first city school was constructed in 1855.

We got home from our Branson vacation to discover water leaking through our hallway ceiling and running down our wall. Upon further inspection, the ceiling was so wet/damaged that you could basically just poke your finger through it like it was a wet paper towel. It was a sickening feeling to see. Working in the insurance industry, I get to hear about stories like this quite often, but this was the first time I’d actually experienced it myself. I immediately called Jerry Alvey, the owner of SERVPRO in Union, MO. He had his crew there in no time. They opened the ceiling up and even found a bit of mold! ?? Apparently we had a leaky pipe from an upstairs bathroom, and it had been dripping and getting worse over time until it finally developed a bigger crack and was just steadily leaking. Jerry, the owner himself, was on a ladder cleaning and scrubbing/removing the mold. His crew was SO cautious during the work, taking every extra step to keep the surrounding area clean and protected while they worked, even wiping down baseboards/doorways/pictures after every session of work they completed over the last few days. His crew was respectful, always right on time, always over-prepared, and even assisted us in matching the paint color perfectly. Without question, my hallway actually looks BETTER than it did 2 weeks ago. They are very true to their SERVPRO motto, "Like it never even happened." Please take it from me and call them FIRST if you ever need help. They help with fire and water damage, cleanup and restoration, and are also AMAZING at cleaning carpets and furniture.
