Hudson is a small town in Central Illinois. This is located in the northwest corner of McLean County about 10 miles North of Bloomington-Normal.  We have a population of  about 1,800 residents.  Hudson Elementary School is part of McLean County Unit 5 and has K-5, serving children from Hudson, rural students surrounding Hudson and north Normal.  Students from Hudson then attend Kingsley Junior High and then on to Normal Community West High School. Hudson has become a "bedroom community" for Bloomington-Normal but has maintained a rural small-town feel.

Hudson was laid out by Horatio Petit on August 13, 1836. It was one of eight towns founded in McLean County during the great real estate boom that swept through central Illinois between 1835 and 1837. Traditional sources say that the town was named for the town of Hudson in Columbia County, New York, which, so it was said, was the home of its early settlers.

With the arrival of the railroad, the success of the town of Hudson was assured. The surrounding tallgrass prairie proved to be some of the most fertile agricultural land in the world. Initially the crops were corn and oats, produced together with a great deal of livestock. In the 1850s and 1860s settlers came in great numbers.

My basement flooded from June Storms -I called Serv Pro and spoke with Dave. He was extremely helpful and came out with James to assessment the basement and remove the padding under carpet which was soaked. They checked walls and for any mold. They set up blowers and pulled carpet back. Dave came back with Devon 2 more times to follow up and ensure everything was up to par.
