Heyworth is a village in McLean County, Illinois, United States. It was founded in 1859.

Heyworth was laid out by Campbell Wakefield on September 11, 1859. Before settlement, the locality now known as Heyworth was covered by a heavy growth of timber and underbrush which was inhabited by the Kickapoo Native Americans, and supported a great number of deer, wild turkeys, and packs of large gray wolves.

The first post office was built in the municipality in 1856, when the new station was opened. The station was named "Elmwood", but it was soon discovered that this name was already taken by a locality in Peoria County. The president of the Illinois Central Railroad proposed calling the new station "Heyworth", after Lawrence Heyworth, an English director of the railroad.

The Village of Heyworth offers numerous parks with a variety of features. 

Enjoy baseball/softball, fishing, playground equipment and a nature trail at Centennial Park a splash park, playground equipment, and basketball courts conveniently located in the heart of Heyworth at Volunteer Park tennis and basketball courts located across from the High School; and a variety of parks in various subdivisions.

My basement flooded from June Storms -I called Serv Pro and spoke with Dave. He was extremely helpful and came out with James to assessment the basement and remove the padding under carpet which was soaked. They checked walls and for any mold. They set up blowers and pulled carpet back. Dave came back with Devon 2 more times to follow up and ensure everything was up to par.
