West Richland, Washington is a unique city at the eastern edge of the Columbia Basin with a history that spans more than 100 years. Today, West Richland is home to many scenic parks and walking trails that make it a great place for outdoor recreation. West Richland is also famous for its annual Siam (pronounced See-A-Mee) Festival, held in October each year. West Richland is part of the Tri-Cities metropolitan area in Benton County. It is also home to Zintel Canyon Park and the Zintel Canyon Open Space Reserve, which together encompass over 1,000 acres (400 ha) with 10 miles (16 km) of trails and several archaeological sites.
How did this area become West Richland?
The Chemnapum Indians originally settled in this area near the Yakima River. In 1853, Congress planned to create a road that passed through now-West Richland, but no one settled in this area until the 1870s. When Richland was incorporated in 1906, West Richland was known as "Lower Yakima." In 1948, Carl Heminger tried to create Heminger City where West Richland is located, but the people voted to name the city "Enterprise." In 1955, the town was going to be incorporated, but the community decided to change the name to West Richland because of the already well-known status of nearby Richland.

After they surveyed the damage Melissa explained in detail what would have to be done and how they would do it. The response team was knowledgeable, well-trained and equipped to handle the damage. They called me the next day with a name and telephone number to contact to file I am 77 yrs old and this was my first experience with something with this and I was over whelmed. My first contact people were Lynn and Melissa- from the first contact to the end everything went as smooth as silk. They followed through with clean up and repair of damaged walls. Lynn worked with the city insurance company and kept me appraised of what was happening. The best company I have dealt with in years.
David Pedroza and Juan Donado came in and explained the whole process, what they were going to do and kept it really professional. The whole process went smoothly. Him and his team did a great job and I will definitely use them again if anything else goes wrong with my home. Just an easy fast experience.
Our store had a pipe burst back in January and SERVPRO did an amazing job putting our store back together. Appreciate all the hard work they put in! Apologize that we didn't get everyone's name, but Warren, Esmeralda, Mike, Koren and Eli were all very professional and always made sure to let us know what was going on with each step.
