Prosser, Washington is a town of roughly six thousand people located in Benton County. The town is home to many local festivals and events that celebrate local wines and culinary delights. Prosser is also known for its agriculture business industries like fruit orchards, vineyards, wine cellars and production facilities. Prosser is located in the Yakima Valley at the southeastern edge of the Columbia Plateau where it meets the Blue Mountains. This area of Washington has a semi-arid climate, with the most precipitation in winter months. 

History of Prosser

Native Americans lived in Prosser before it became Prosser. They fished along the Yakima River. These Native Americans referred to this land as "Táptat," which means "long hair in front, short hair on the sides." In 1879, Colonel William Farrand Prosser surveyed the area and officially claimed it home in 1882. The Northern Pacific Railroad laid down tracks through Prosser in 1884, and in 1899, the town was officially incorporated. Over the years, the town has become a large tourist destination because of its location along the river and easy access to major highways. The city is known for its rich history, beautiful scenery and friendly residents. There is a great deal of beauty and activity here to enjoy, including warm sunny days and cool nights.

SERVPRO SAVED MY FAMILY. When we arrived home it was third quarter of the Seahawks playing In the Super Bowl. We had no idea that the toilet had been overflowing for five hours as we stepped into a sea of water!!! Honestly Servepro responded quickly even on Superbowb Sunday at the end of the game! They were my first call and they knew exactly how to help. They we very professional and directed me in options for managing my 1400 sq ft of flooded house. They boxes they packed were done very well, so far no damage to anything. They can handle any size job. I had 3 truckloads of belongings-some 700 boxes plus furniture. Yeah we have a lot of work ahead of us, but with the detailed inventory with a lot of photos taken by the Servpro team it , makes it easy to find stuff we are looking for.
