Fishers Landing

Fishers Landing East is a neighborhood in Vancouver, Washington, in Eastern Clark County with a population of 6,582. Fishers Landing was named for Solomon W. Fisher. In the 1850’s Solomon filed a Donation Land Claim on 160 acres on Government Island, and 160 acres on the north side of the Columbia River, 8 miles east of Vancouver, Washington. The settlement of "Fisher" developed, which is now known as "Fishers Landing".

Fishers Landing is one of the best places to live in Washington. Although Fishers Landing has many modern multi-family apartment complexes, most residents own their homes. Fishers Landing is known for offering residents an urban suburban feel. Fishers Landing is also the home of many senior citizens of our community thriving in large structure care facilities. SERVPRO has been the company of choice for water damage mitigation to mitigate and reconstruct clients rooms at multiple Fishers Landing care facilities that suffered broken sprinkler pipes leaving inches of standing water during winter storms over the last decade.

SERVPRO has built a reputation with local property managers making us the go to company in time of structure need for fire damage restoration.

Fishers Landing was home to many of Clark County's earliest legislators and power brokers. Family men who came by wagon train and settled where the land was rich. Men like Solomon W. Fisher, William M. Simmons, Silas D. Maxon, Joel Knight, and Henry M. Knapp. These men helped to establish Clark County's first roads, schools, and post offices. The men of Fishers Landing and their allies served multiple terms in the Washington Territorial Legislature, House, and Council. When Washington became a state in 1889, two area sons, Samuel S. Cook and Hannibal Blair, served in the first state legislature.

The soil at Fishers Landing was known for being robust and produced abundantly, enabling the families who farmed it to invest in warehouses, wharfage, railroads, agribusiness, lumber, quarry rock, and other forms of enterprise.

Fishers Landing is well known for its beautiful parks. One very popular park being the Fisher Basin Community Park.

This 12.3-acre community park is a partnership between the City of Vancouver and the Evergreen School District, and is located next to Shahala Middle School. This park is well known for its family friendly hiking trails, safe and well maintained. Easy walking distance to stores and restaurants.

"Thank you so much for giving me advice today about how to get a stain out of my favorite upholstered chair. My grandson stamped the side of it with ink! I used boiling hot water repeatedly with blotting and then carpet and upholstery stain remover and it worked. I am thrilled. I've always been able to depend on SERVPRO! THANK YOU"

"... To reflect on the previous year, I want to offer my sincere thanks for all that you do for the Red Cross. We have had an extraordinary 6 months.  Wildfires in Southern and Central Oregon, the tragedy at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg and finally responding to the many storms that have brought rain, winds and landslides to Southwest Washington and Oregon. I am honored to be able to work with you and humbled by your dedication and commitment to the Red Cross. Sincerely, Curtis."

Despite planning and preventive maintenance, things occur out of your control. In the past year we experience three separate/unrelated events which required immediate mitigation. On all three events Tim and his team at SERVPRO saved our bacon, making the experiences far less stressful for my staff and our Residents. During our most recent event Tim answered his phone and was out to our building, along with his assistant, within an hour to begin assessing our situation. Within 2 hours Tim had a mitigation crew working on clean-up. Given the nature and extent of the event we were realistic that it could take into the following afternoon to get the place back to operating condition. However, Tim's crew was somehow able to get the place back up and ready before the end of the business day. They were incredibly thorough. In addition, his crew was exceptionally friendly and great to work with throughout their time onsite. When the invoice arrived I felt the price was very fair---especially considering the quality of work and response time. Two of the events involved insurance claims, which Tim and his team at SERVPRO managed directly, saving us time and stress. If you're a business owner, or any kind of property owner, I strongly recommend reaching out to this SERVPRO office and setting things up in advance, just to be safe. You will be glad you did. I cannot recommend these folks enough.
