Amboy is an old logging town located 33 miles Northeast of the metropolitan area in some of the county’s most rural reaches. The town has less than 2000 residents but receives plenty of visitors due to the many beautiful natural areas. Amboy received its name from one of the town's first settlers, Amos M. Ball, who operated the post office with his family. Many travel to visit Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Headquarters for hiking, camping and historical and scientific exploration. For many, wonderful Summer memories have been created boating on Yale Lake, roasting s'mores at Campers Hideaway, and cooling off with a swim at Moulton Falls.
The Pacific Northwest is notorious for rain, almost double the national average in Amboy. Wind and snowfall are also no strangers to this small town. Obviously nobody wants to have to a disaster in their home like we did, but thankfully, SERVPRO fixed everything in minimal time and the job they did was fantastic!
We called right after an upstairs flood. Andrew, a Technician, was on call and called us back immediately. Andrew came out right away, accompanied by Cody. Both were knowledgeable, professional, respectful (wore face masks during COVID pandemic) and thorough - putting us immediately at ease about all of our worries.
In the end, they were careful to only tear down the minimal amount of drywall necessary. Erica in the office handled the insurance and helped us through the process.
Hopefully it will be a long time before we have any further flooding or emergencies, but we would certainly use SERVPRO of Vancouver again if we had to. Highly recommend!!!
