Christiansburg, Virginia is located in Montgomery County in Southwest Virginia and is known for being a great place to raise a family or retire since it is quiet and family-oriented. It serves as the county seat of Montgomery County. It is accessible via US 460, US 11, and I-81, making it simple to get to from neighboring cities. Since its inception in 1850, it has grown from a small town with just over 100 residents, to over 22,473 people and growing. It is the home of the New River Community College, the Starlite Drive-In Movie Theatre, and the Uptown Christiansburg Mall. Christiansburg tends to get a little snowier weather in the winter, but has moderate seasons otherwise.
