The tiny town of Kinards, SC is another unincorporated community in South Carolina – the town of Kinards is spread across two counties – Laurens and Newberry. Kinards, SC was first established in 1856 – named Kinards Turnout – when the post office opened in 1856. With a population of less than 900 people – this gives new meaning to a small town. If you are looking for true country living then Kinards is the place for you. Highway 76 runs from Laurens County to Newberry County and you will find Kinards right in the middle. You won’t travel this stretch of highway without seeing a logging truck. This rural area is mostly covered in wooded areas with tress for miles to see. Logging the land is known to this community as the closet log station is located only a few miles away in the town of Newberry. There’s not many businesses to speak of – but to many locals who live there – it’s perfectly fine with them. They enjoy the small town living that Kinards has to offer. They have many options in other small towns that’s only a short commute to Clinton and Newberry. Most residents have lived in the area most of their life, it’s the perfect community to raise a family.

They even took an oriental rug to their facility to clean it and returned it promptly. Kimberly and Mel have a wonderful community spirit and volunteer and help wherever needed.
