Berkley is located in Oakland County Michigan. It is a suburb just miles north of Detroit. The population 15,194 according to the 2020 US Census. The city was incorporated as a village in 1923 and became a city in 1932. Berkley is 2.62 sq miles.
The city is well known for its participation in the iconic Woodward Dream Cruise www.woodwarddreamcruise.com. The dream cruise is a parade of classic cars and is celebrated in a weekend long event that is enjoyed by thousands. In addition to the dream cruise, the city hosts an annual winter fest and summer fest that partners with local businesses and volunteers.

Art is also central to the community. The city hosts an annual Art Bash which hosts local artists that feature jewelry, pottery, clothing, art, accessories, and paintings. This fair brings in about 10,000 visitors a year.

I called SERVPRO Oak Park/Ferndale after a window was broken in the entry door of my home. I needed someone to board it up for security purposes until I could arrange to have the window replaced. A friend who has dealt with this kind of a problem many times recommended this business without hesitation. Every person I dealt with at SERVPRO was compassionate and attentive to my obvious need without any prompting. They came out to my house a short time after I called. Particular care was taken not to further damage my door while securing it at the same time. I appreciate professionalism and that's what I got.
