Located in Hampden Massachusetts, the town of East Longmeadow is situated in Western Massachusetts in the Pioneer Valley region. During the colonial period it was seen as pastureland as it slowly developed into small farms. While cultivating the land for the farms they discovered brown and red sandstone. In the later half of the 19th century the sandstone become widely used to construct buildings and monuments throughout the United States. The Smithsonian Institute is just one of the buildings that was constructed with this sandstone. The use of sandstone was used until the early 20th century when steel framing and cement became the building material of choice.
The oldest house in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts is the Elijah Burt House which was built around 1720 and 1740. This home is believed to be part of the Underground Railroad as there is a secret passage within the home. East Longmeadow is also the home of Heritage Park. This quaint little park is the perfect place for a family outing. The park has two dog parks, a picnic area and pavilion as well as beautiful nature walks.
Did you know that the Milton Bradley Company was located in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts for many years? One of their largest facilities is still housed there, even though they were bought out by Hasbro back in 1984.
The Railroad Station, which is located near the center of East Longmeadow is part of the Historical Commission. There is a 3 mile long section of the old rail lines is now called the Redstone Rail Trail, where the local residents can enjoy walking, running and biking with their families.

A few months later I started seeing black mold. I ended up getting SERVPRO to come out and clean up the mold that was most likely from the leak on my bathroom a few months back. Next time I call SERVPRO first.
