The Act spurred proliferation of area hunting clubs where Chicago businessmen built clubhouses and brought their families for weekend getaways. The Diana Hunt Club is still standing, though now it is a private residence.

I honestly can’t say enough good about SERVPRO of Benton, Jasper, Newton and Southern Lake Counties! We had a major flood in our home from a broken hot water pipe last year. We were not home at the time it broke and 16 inches of 140 degree water ran into our basement, and all over our kitchen and dining room floors. (Our tankless hot water heater worked like a champ!) Because of the steam and the huge amount of water, everything had to be packed up and stored from our first floor.
