The beautiful city of Waterloo received its name when a local Frenchman who was one of Napoleon's soldiers that fought in the battle of Waterloo suggested it. The name has not been changed since. Located in Jefferson county, Waterloo is known for being the headquarters for Trek Bicycle Corporation and Van Holten Pickles.
In 1925 the city of Waterloo purchased a 1911 C.W. Parker 2-row portable carousel from the Curtis Brothers Carnival and placed in Fireman's Park. It includes an operational 1915 North Tonawanda Band Organ which was fully restored in 1987 and is a source of pride for many members of the Waterloo community. In 2008, the carousel suffered some water damage during a flood so the community decided to move it to a higher location in a different area of Fireman’s Park.

We hired SERVPRO to clean our home we just purchased because it was smoked in. They gave us a line by line quote detailing what they’d clean. We were excited for the thoroughness and decided to move forward with their service even though it was a little more expensive than we anticipated. I am sad to say they didn’t do a thorough job at all. After they left I found myself redoing most of their work. When I reached out to the project manager to let them know, they gave us a very small amount of money back on our invoice which didn’t cover nearly enough for the amount of work we had to redo. I wouldn’t waste time hiring them and just go with a regular cleaning service who won’t charge you an arm and a leg and will probably deliver much higher quality work.
I had hired several companies in the past to tend to my ongoing mold problem and nobody could help me. Finally after SERVPRO came to the rescue my mold issue was resolved. The process from scheduling to servicing was reassuring, professional and at the end, effective.
