In 1840 the Village of Wales emerged out of a settlement of Welsh immigrants in western Waukesha County. The immigrants established farms which produced wheat which they sold and processed in Milwaukee. Overtime, the wheat quickly exhausted the area’s soil so farmers began to use their land for dairy farming. After WWII, residential subdivisions began to take over the dairy farms which quickly transformed Wales into a bedroom community for workers in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
Today the Village of Wales population has grown with an abundance of small town charm, recreation and pure enjoyment all set in the beautiful landscape of the lower Lake Country area. While enjoying the activities in the area, many visitors stay at the award-winning historic Pedal’rs Inn Bed and Breakfast, located in the historic downtown Wales along the Glacial Drumlin Bike Trail. A crew of 4 young ladies came to clean an old farm house that we were about to move into. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned fo 20 years, no exaggeration!!! They dug in at got rid of all the grime, iron and hard water stains. The thoroughly cleaned the bugs out of all the window. They washed the walls, ceilings and the inside of all the cupboards. We hired SERVPRO to clean our home we just purchased because it was smoked in. They gave us a line by line quote detailing what they’d clean. We were excited for the thoroughness and decided to move forward with their service even though it was a little more expensive than we anticipated. I am sad to say they didn’t do a thorough job at all. After they left I found myself redoing most of their work. When I reached out to the project manager to let them know, they gave us a very small amount of money back on our invoice which didn’t cover nearly enough for the amount of work we had to redo. I wouldn’t waste time hiring them and just go with a regular cleaning service who won’t charge you an arm and a leg and will probably deliver much higher quality work.
I had hired several companies in the past to tend to my ongoing mold problem and nobody could help me. Finally after SERVPRO came to the rescue my mold issue was resolved. The process from scheduling to servicing was reassuring, professional and at the end, effective.
