Established on February 22, 1845 The town of Lake Mills is located in scenic Jefferson County on the Eastern shores of Rock Lake in Southern Wisconsin.  Lake Mills was named by Captain Joseph Keyes after building a saw mill and grist mill using power from nearby Rock Lake.  



Mounds constructed by Native Americans hundreds of years agao can be found overlooking many of the rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands. Legend says they also constructed large stone structures that lie beneath Rock Lake. They were built in a valley, hoping to end a drought and the gods responded by filling the valley with water.



Downtown Lake Mills is home to an assortment of eateries, boutiques and shops, a brewery, winery and other businesses all housed in its historic buildings. Its industrial park offers a variety of manufacturers including another brewery, a distillery, a chocolatier and a nationally known cheese packaging company.

I had a sewer backup the day before Thanksgiving. The local plumber took care of the roto-rooting that same day. After he left I called Servpro that Wednesday before Thanksgiving and they said they will be at my home the first thing on Friday the day after Thanksgiving. They showed up on time did a great and professional cleanup of my basement in about 1 hour. And as they left they cleaned up behind themselves all the way to the front door. Excellent service!
