Located 20 miles west of Milwaukee along the Bark River, the Village of Hartland with its small town charm and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere is proud of its outstanding schools, lovely homes, great shopping and fine restaurants.
In 1838, Hartland (formally known as the Town of Warren) was named after its first settler Stephen Warren. Years later, Warren sold part of his land to a young entrepreneur named Christian Hershey who constructed a four and one half story grist mill that used water power from the Bark River to capitalize on the farmer’s need to market their wheat. When the Watertown Plank Road was completed through Hartland, farmers were able to use it as a “highway” for bringing their grains and hops to the Milwaukee breweries.
The village of Heartland became incorporated on January 18, 1892. Today Heartland is not known as much as a farming community, but a bedroom community where professionals who work in the Milwaukee area can live and commute.

A crew of 4 young ladies came to clean an old farm house that we were about to move into. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned fo 20 years, no exaggeration!!! We hired SERVPRO to clean our home we just purchased because it was smoked in. They gave us a line by line quote detailing what they’d clean. We were excited for the thoroughness and decided to move forward with their service even though it was a little more expensive than we anticipated. I am sad to say they didn’t do a thorough job at all. After they left I found myself redoing most of their work. When I reached out to the project manager to let them know, they gave us a very small amount of money back on our invoice which didn’t cover nearly enough for the amount of work we had to redo. I wouldn’t waste time hiring them and just go with a regular cleaning service who won’t charge you an arm and a leg and will probably deliver much higher quality work.
I had hired several companies in the past to tend to my ongoing mold problem and nobody could help me. Finally after SERVPRO came to the rescue my mold issue was resolved. The process from scheduling to servicing was reassuring, professional and at the end, effective.
Justin and his team were extremely helpful. They were on time, professional, and very transparent through the process of the job. The quote was fair and they were all very personable and kind. If we ever needed work done again, I’d call them in a heartbeat.
