The vision for the community grew out of the 1984 Citizens for Airport Relocation (CARE) plan which called for a new town compatible with the surrounding single-family neighborhoods. In 2007, The first family moved into Mueller in a home on Emma Long Street. The area continued to grow and in 2017 it was announced that Texas Mutual Insurance Company will move its headquarters of more than 600 employees to Mueller. With 20 percent of the neighborhood dedicated to parks and open space, every resident lives within 600 feet of a community greenspace. Mueller parks are open to the public and are host to several community events. Mueller also has some great food options and several tap rooms.
