Bruce and Robert McQuiston, owners of Flexospan, donated land to the Borough to be developed as a community park. There is a pavilion and playground. Many members of the community gather to this part of town to have fun on a beautiful day. In 1998 a group of local citizens formed a committee to construct a memorial in the town of Sandy Lake. The memorial was built to honor all service men and women from all branches who served our country during war time, peace time or conflicts and for leaving their family and sacrificing their time and lives to help our country.The memorial is located in the G. Turner Craig Park.
