The region was the epitome of commerce for Chester County. In 1831, the railroads had helped business to grow substantially, and the town of Parkesburg was at one of the highest peaks of the travel route. Construction and repair facilities therefore began to appear in the town, paving the way for the early beginnings of production in the railroad industry. While these businesses later moved on to other regions, the Parkesburg Iron Company was formed in 1872, a company that would become worldwide for the charcoal iron boiler tubes used in the train engines. Parkesburg became a borough in Chester County that same year, and business grew substantially due to the iron industry.
The area is home to Minch Park, a ten acre park that is home to the South Eastern Pennsylvania Travel Baseball Association and boasts many recreational opportunities for residents. The local Victory Brewing Company is another popular attraction.

During the installation of a new dishwasher, we discovered black mold. The dishwasher had been leaking without our knowledge. In a panic, we called SERVPRO and they were out to our house in less than an hour. They almost immediately began removing the mold. They were professional, answered all our questions and concerns. They quickly and efficiently removed the mold. Due to the mold issue, we lost a few cabinets and some of our floor. After receiving estimates from a few contractors, we hired SERVPRO to complete the rebuild of our kitchen. During the estimate, the construction manager offered ideas and suggestions for the rebuild. He was patient and answered all our questions. He then provided a fair estimate in a very timely manner.
Our rebuild is now complete and I am beyond impressed with the work. Our kitchen looks amazing, the work is high quality and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We will definitely be using SERVPRO for any future remodeling needs.

We first met the SERVPRO team in August 2020. During the pandemic, we had a leak that damaged our floors. The crew came out and handled everything beautifully! We were so pleased that we inquired about them doing additional work in our home. Did you know SERVPRO does home renovations? They completely gutted and remodeled 2 bathrooms, replaced our floors on the main floor and second floor in our home! They gave us a timeline from start to finish and stuck with it! Our projects were completed on time and on budget! The entire process was seamless. From start to finish Joe, Jesse, Carlos, Randy, Bill and everyone else were fantastic. The crew in our home were the most polite and respectful group of individuals. They treated us, our pets and our home as if it were their own! They are the BEST!!!
