History of Park Forest Village

Park Forest Village, Pennsylvania was settled in 1729. The settlement began as a series of small farms, anchored by the building of a gristmill along the stream that runs through the village. In 1745, Park Forest Village became a town. The name of the town came from an academic debate between its early settlers who were all related to the English nobility and exchanged ideas about park forests, or areas where men could hunt for game and fish for food, versus agricultural fields that produce crops for subsistence farming. This is why Park Forest Village has an "English" feel to it.

We suffered a major flood in our ground floor condo unit which had a water supply line into the unit burst due to too high water pressure. We contacted ServPro right away who were on the job quickly and took out the flooring, wet drywall other aspects damaged by the flood. They then set up drying and related equipment to dry things out and treat for any mold. They did a great job. Because of that success we engaged ServPro to do the reconstruction which included new floors throughout the unit, installing baseboard, trim, painting, dry wall repair, etc. they did an excellent job on the reconstruction. We could not be more pleased. We highly recommend ServPro of Happy Valley.
