History of Everett
Everett, Pennsylvania became a town in 1762. The town was named after the English poet John Everett Millais. Everett later became home of the country's first major oil refinery when Standard Oil Company built their first refining site there in 1890. Throughout its history, Everett has been home to many communities and businesses, including the Colonial Acanthus Emporium and Poultry Institute, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Bell Acetylene Company, Standard Oil Company and many others.

This experience was so scary. We were on vacation and hose to our dishwasher was chewed through and there was water everywhere. That evening they had a crew there to start clean up and to start drying everything out. They were very thorough and answered any questions we had.
