History of Duncansville
Duncan's creek and Duncansville, Pennsylvania are both named after Ebenezer Duncan who was the founder of Duncansville. The town was first settled in 1788 and was created by the state when they formed it into a township on January 19, 1867. It remained an unincorporated community until 1860 when it incorporated itself as a borough. In 1872 it lost its town charter and until February 2, 1937 it was once again incorporated as a borough under the name “Duncan’s Creek” until 1928 when it changed to its current name of Duncansville.

This experience was so scary. We were on vacation and hose to our dishwasher was chewed through and there was water everywhere. That evening they had a crew there to start clean up and to start drying everything out. They were very thorough and answered any questions we had.
