Cresson, Pennsylvania is a borough located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Cresson is famous for its coal mining and railroad history. Located on the eastern tip of Broad Mountain and at the northern end of the Allegheny Plateau, Cresson is 11 miles south of Sipesville, 9 miles south of Kittanning, 17 miles north-northeast of Clarion and 57 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The population was 1,273 at the 2010 census, down from 1,558 at the 2000 census. Currently, the estimated population is at 1,553 residents. The residents of the area are mostly involved with farming or related activities.
A Bit More About Cresson
The city takes its name from the Cressona Railroad and Coal Company founded here by John Cresson. The community has been served by the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad since 1868 and still is today. The Mountainhouse Hotel is one of the most famous buildings to come from Cresson. It was a Queen Anne style structure right along the tracks of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1881. The hotel was intended to be an oasis with "clean air" and "therapeutic mineral springs." The hotel was demolished in 1916, but it lead to the development of many other hotels in the area. Today, the area is called the "Mountainhouse Grounds," and many original cottages still stand in the vicinity, including those of Andrew Carnegie and Benjamin Jones.

They spent a lot of time on the details, and making sure we were happy with everything before they would even start certain projects in the bathroom! There were some minor issues that they ran into with it being an older bathroom. They overcame any obstacles that they faced with this remodel! We had an image of what we wanted our bathroom to look like at the end, and it is definitely what we wanted and always wished for! We are all very pleased and appreciative of all the hard work that went into making this possible for us! Thank you so much guys!
