Hinckley Ohio is a beautiful country township within Medina County that has the atmosphere of a small town with acres of parkland, beautiful rolling hills and much community involvement.  Within the township you can find older rural homes, newer single family homes and some planned development.  Those who live in Hinckley live by its motto:  Small Town, Big Hearts.

In 1957 the town began celebrating Buzzard Day.  On March 15 of every year, buzzards begin to arrive in the town.  The event marks the beginning of spring in Hinckley.  Thousands of people come to the township to celebrate Buzzard Day every year, a tradition that has its roots planted in Hinckley history.

Hinckley Reservation which is owned by The Cleveland Metropark System is the largest park system in the town.  It is known for its ledges, caves, trails and lake.  Home to many animals, it is a nature lover’s paradise. 

Memorial Park was created as a memorial to the Hinckley World War I soldiers that had fallen.  More names were added from the Civil War.  This is an important stop every year during the Memorial Day parade in Hinckley.
