Atwater Township is one of eighteen townships found in Portage County Ohio. Atwater Township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, elected every two years. The historic township of Atwater was established in 1799 by Captain Caleb Atwater, one of the Western Reserve’s founding landowners.
June brings us the Atwater Township Memorial Day Parade with local business and family showing off their creativity with colorful decorative floats. Memorial Day banners line the city streets to honor and recognize a local member of the Armed Services.
