Whiting is a community located on the west side of Manchester Township in Ocean County with approximately 34,007 residents. It is home to multiple retirement communities and has one school, Whiting Elementary School. It was named after Nathan C. Whiting because he built a sawmill here in 1861. Whiting was once a station stop on the Southern branch of the Central Railroad of New Jersey, a line known for the Blue Comet express that was known as the Whiting Junction. Whiting Station was located at the intersection of Diamond Road and Station Road. Today it is Whiting Station Adult Community and is nestled in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
Lenni Lenape Burial Ground and Garden memorializes the Lenape (or Original People) and their ancestors that occupied this area Europeans in northwestern New Jersey for thousands of years before the Europeans arrived. One of the landscape designs to mark these burial grounds was to bend trees at 90-degree angles for decoration and to serve as trail markers. Other landscape designs would have circles of various species of trees in which they forked the tops to look like antlers.

I had a pretty big issue with a flood in my bathroom, bedroom and a few smaller rooms. Roland Miller and his partner Jim did a great job educating me on the process and then performing the required cleanup They put my mind at ease (as much as possible) given the circumstances. I recommend them highly.
We had a sizable amount of water damage due to a problem with our refrigerator. We notified SERVPRO of Jackson/Lacey on a Wednesday afternoon, and the crew arrived promptly the next morning. Roland and Marvey were wonderful as were the rest of the team. All work to be done was explained clearly and thoroughly. Everyone took the utmost care when moving our furniture and packing contents of the drawers. They made a stressful situation more tolerable. All workers were totally professional, yet extremely personable and friendly. I would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors and would welcome Roland, Marvey and any of the crew back into my home without hesitation. When the job was finished, we felt as though we were saying goodbye to friends rather than workers! Such a great group of competent and respectful men.
