There are many great features to see in this historic community, at the center of the town is the 1883 Wommack Mill, also called the Boegel and Hine Flour Mill, the mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the stone-burr grist mill was built in 1883; and was used primarily as a steam sawmill until it was converted to a flour mill, it is the town’s oldest standing structure. Each fall the Fair Grove Heritage Reunion is held the last weekend of September and the historic Mill is at the center of the festivities. The dominant local industry is agriculture, hosting a number of small and large ranches, hay farms and beef and cattle operations.
