Edgerton Missouri is a small town north of Kansas City. It's situated not far from the Platte River on Grove Creek. It's easy to find yourself in and around nature. You do not have to travel very far to fish in the Smithville Reservoir which is located a couple miles down the road in Clinton County. The town of Edgerton itself was named after a retired railroad employee. Edgerton has a population of just over 600 residents and is very community based. North Platte County R-1 School district keeps a close-knit group of students enrolled. Most everyone knows their neighbor and is willing to help out as needed. There have been a couple water losses and fire mitigations over the past few years in Edgerton. Their town fire department is made up of volunteers who proudly serve when needed.
