The city of St. Clair has historic roots dating back to 1764. St. Clair is uniquely positioned between two rivers. This quaint city is a well-known summer tourist destination with unique shopping, dining and outdoor activities. The Pine River and the St. Clair River offer both recreational and occupational opportunities. Freighters can be seen traveling the river daily and visitors can explore them as well. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the St. Clair Boat Harbor located on the Pine River. Palmer Park which is located on the St Clair River also has historic roots dating back to its creation in 1764. This park is home to the world’s longest fresh water boardwalk. This boardwalk allows visitors a place to swim, cast a fishing pole or just take in the majestic views of passing freighters and wildlife. St Clair is also home to Pine Shores Golf Club. The golf club is considered a hidden gem by many. It offers beautiful views, an executive-level nine hole course and a spacious banquet facility. While St. Clair is a well-known tourist spot it is also home to around 5,300 residents. While being surrounded by all this water may be beautiful it can also be damaging. We had storm damage in the spring of 2024. Due to missing shingles which caused a lot of water damage. We called ServPro one of 3 companies that our insurance co. gave us to pick from. In less then a hour they were there to seal up our roof. We gave them the contract to do all the repairs on our house. I have to say these people are on the ball, they worked with our insurance adjuster, who was not the easiest person to work with. Also the sub contractors that they used, did a superb job, better then we expected. There foreman Mike was always easy to get a hold of and kept us informed about the job. Rob the owner was very nice and handled a lot of the work that went on behind the scenes. The whole staff at ServPro was great to work with. Thanks so much to Susan and Rob and Scott and our buddy Mike and also Benny for the puppy fix.
