The city of St. Clair has historic roots dating back to 1764. St. Clair is uniquely positioned between two rivers. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the St. Clair Boat Harbor located on the Pine River. Palmer Park which is located on the St Clair River also has historic roots dating back to its creation in 1764. This park is home to the world’s longest fresh water boardwalk. This boardwalk allows visitors a place to swim, cast a fishing pole or just take in the majestic views of passing freighters and wildlife. St Clair is also home to Pine Shores Golf Club. The golf club is considered a hidden gem by many. It offers beautiful views, an executive-level nine hole course and a spacious banquet facility. While St. Clair is a well-known tourist spot it is also home to around 5,300 residents. While being surrounded by all this water may be beautiful it can also be damaging.
