Romeo is a city located north of Washington. The city is best known for the Peach Festival that is held there annually on labor day weekend. This is the second oldest festival in the state of Michigan. All weekend baked goods and homemade foods are sold, apples and sunflowers can be picked, craft shows are put on, and an art gallery is open. Along with all of this, carnival rides and food trucks are set up for kids and families to enjoy. A Peach Queen and court are crowned each year. Another attraction in the city of Romeo is its Frontier Town. Frontier Town is full of small boutiques, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. All of the shops are small local businesses that receive loads of support from their community. The town is also home to the Romeo Trailside Park. The 24-mile Macomb Orchard Trail runs through this park which allows for long walks and bike rides. It is also home to the Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks & Recreation. This park serves three communities and has a little playground for children. It also hosts fun events such as Music in the Park. Romeo is a city that is packed full of businesses and homes. We had storm damage in the spring of 2024. Due to missing shingles which caused a lot of water damage. We called ServPro one of 3 companies that our insurance co. gave us to pick from. In less then a hour they were there to seal up our roof. We gave them the contract to do all the repairs on our house. I have to say these people are on the ball, they worked with our insurance adjuster, who was not the easiest person to work with. Also the sub contractors that they used, did a superb job, better then we expected. There foreman Mike was always easy to get a hold of and kept us informed about the job. Rob the owner was very nice and handled a lot of the work that went on behind the scenes. The whole staff at ServPro was great to work with. Thanks so much to Susan and Rob and Scott and our buddy Mike and also Benny for the puppy fix.
