Since the city’s creation in 1856, Harvard has displayed its communal sense of work ethic and compassion. Early founders saw great opportunity for farming because of the area’s ideal landscape and soil. After receiving recognition of their new town, the focus became utilizing the nearby trains as a means to export their goods. Before long, Harvard was a hub of corn and dairy production. Agricultural success displayed the town’s work ethic, while community actions during war time proved their compassion. During the Civil War, community members offered housing and free meals to sick and wounded soldiers. By World War II, the town was so efficient in producing dairy products they would graciously send milk to those in need. This wonderful history is still celebrated today with Harvard’s “Milk Days,” Illinois’ oldest annual celebration and parade of this great city’s effort and success.

We recently had a sewer backup from the heavy rains (in Menomonee Falls, WI). Our finished basement was completely destroyed. Mitch and his team came in and were very professional. They made recommendations and explained the reasoning behind them. They worked very cleanly and answered any questions along the way. I've been a custom home builder in my area for almost 20 years and have done several re-builds after fires, floods, etc. SERVPRO of Caledonia did a far better job with the remediation and cleanup than I have seen any other company do. They were careful to not damage anything else, made clean cuts, and were careful with the removal of everything. They also did my neighbor's house and were able to keep their trim. It looks like they were very careful to keep all the pieces neatly which will make it far easier (and less costly) for me to do the reconstruction.
