Bristol Township, named after the Bristol family. Although pioneer miller John Schneider was really the first settler in the township, the Bristols were better known. Lyman Bristol donated the site of the village of Bristol, now the north side of the city of Yorkville. Today's village of Bristol was first known as Bristol Station, and was a stop on the railroad that passed Yorkville and the old village of Bristol to the north. Bristol is the county's smallest township, losing substantial acreage to both Kendall and Oswego townships because of the meander of the Fox River. The township was also known as one of the county's wettest, with swamps galore. SERVPRO serves the Township of Bristol for all its water and fire damage restoration needs.
Raging Waves, Illinois' largest water park, was built just north of Bristol. Raging Waves is a 20-year dream of Randy, one of the park’s three founding owners. The other two are Randy’s wife, Dawn, and Randy’s late brother-in-law, Scott. Randy and Dawn took many vacations with their kids to water parks around the country in order to get ideas for Raging Waves!
In 2008, Raging Waves opened to the public with 17 waterslides, a ¼ mile long lazy river, 350,000 gallon wave pool, sand area, leisure pool, and two restaurants. 15 summers later, the park sprawls over 58 acres with 15 additional waterslides, 43 private cabanas, a total of 11 dining options, and more.
Bristol will soon either be annexed by one of the larger municipalities or become completely surrounded. Bristol has a small post office, bar, and train station located near the center of town. SERVPRO handles all jobs associated with water and fire restoration in this quaint little community.

My State Farm agent suggested I contact this firm to help remediate a water problem in my basement. The manager did contact me quickly and had a crew at my home in 2 hours. They were professional and worked quickly. They also worked around my schedule to check on the dehumidifiers and measured the walls to make sure the moisture was gone. They also sprayed the interior of the walls with a solution to present mold/fungus. I would call them again.
