Phiilipsburg is a small community in Tifton, GA. Tifton was founded in 1872 by a marine engineer turned lumberman-entrepreneur who was named Henry Harding Tift. Henry and his Uncle Nelson Tift who was a businessman, judge, and congressman done the clearing of timberland which left the result of lumbering left space for raining of peaches, grapes, cotton, tobacco, and sheep. Tifton is known for having deep roots in agriculture. They have a Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village that is opened Monday thru Saturday. At the village, you are looking at how the farm community was in the 1870s on 95-acre site restored and preserved. Tifton has more annual festivals such as Rhythm & Ribs BBQ Festival, Omega Pepper, Pumpkin Patch & Crop Maze, Victorian Village by Candlelight and so much more. Moving forward to education they offer two colleges, ABAC and University of Georgia Tifton Campus, currently building Future Farmstead, Southern Regional of Tifton and Georgia Peanut Commission. Now to grade school education, Tifton has eight preschools, eight elementary, two middle and one high school with the total of eleven school with almost 8,000 students. I contacted SERVPRO to help with what we thought was just water damage. SERVPRO sent a team the house right away. Blake and Holden identified the septic tank as the source of the water intrusion. They immediately went to work once the septic tank was serviced. They did a fantastic job drying and disinfecting the house, as well as removing all contaminated materials.
