Brookfield was incorporated in 1870 when a sawmill was established there. In 1874 a post office has been in operation since then as well. The town is super small, and the population has not been updated since 2007 from what information I can see, and it was only 4,541 but it is not that today. With how small Brookfield is, the children would have to go to Tifton for schooling. They do have public areas that you can go fishing at and take the family. Brookfield has little to no stores since it is so close to Tifton. The town does also have a Sport & Print Warehouse and of course a dollar general. On your way back into Tifton limits, there is a farm called That One Lavender Farm. They have curbside pickup so you can always have them fresh! For traveling thru, they have a Trolley Stop RV Park that you can stay if needed. With residing in Brookfield, you are in the middle of so many bigger cities that you can travel to and visit to see more scenery. I contacted SERVPRO to help with what we thought was just water damage. SERVPRO sent a team the house right away. Blake and Holden identified the septic tank as the source of the water intrusion. They immediately went to work once the septic tank was serviced. They did a fantastic job drying and disinfecting the house, as well as removing all contaminated materials.
