Mayo is located southwest of Live Oak, Florida. Mayo is located in Lafayette County. It is also the county seat in Lafayette County. Back in 2018, Mayo actually changed its name to Miracle Whip. Naturally, this was all part of an advertising stunt. Some people may actually assume that Mayo was named after mayonnaise. Sounds logical but, Mayo was actually named after confederate colonel James Micajah Mayo. Going back to Mayo as the county seat. It is also the only town in Lafayette County. So that would make sense. Lafayette County is the second least populous county in Florida. In 2020 the populationn was listed at 1,055.
There of course some history and several notable individuals from the Mayo area. The Old Lafayette County Courthouse was built in 1883. It is now serving as a bed and breakfast. As Mayo is one of the lesser populated areas in the state they have had their fair share of notable people. Just to name a few. Kerwin Bell was a former quarterback who played at the University of Florida. He also went on to play professionally. Bill Birchfield was a lawyer. Also, became a Florida state representative. Reggie Mcgrew played defensive line for University of Florida and San Francisco 49ers. Herbert Perry former football and baseball player at the University of Florida. He went on to play for several Major League teams. Last but not least, Ricky Nattiel. He was a wide receiver and played at the University of Florida. He went on to play with the Denver Broncos.

Christmas Eve...... Water Everywhere! You had Ronnie, Keith, Jonathon and Barbara onsite within 2 hours! It took all night & Christmas Day but your staff put our problem in front of their own families! That says a lot of how amazing this SERVPRO is.
My problem was impacted by SERVPRO of Columbia & Suwannee Counties greatly. the team arrived the first day and started the cleanup. I was surprised the amount of work that was completed that first day by two people (Johnathon and Barbara). The total experience was very good with all concerned.
