A small unincorporated village called Hesperus, Colorado is situated on Highway 160 about ten miles west of Durango. It is situated about 17 miles east of Mancos on the route to Cortez and Mesa Verde. Hesperus is the starting point for guided fishing excursions, vintage sleigh rides, dog sled tours, and 4x4 routes. Highlands Unlimited in the area also organizes guided hunting excursions. Hesperus Mountain, the highest peak in the La Plata Mountains range and about an hour and a half north of the town of the same name, is ideal for people who enjoy doing 13ers and 14ers.

Tonya Julionna saved the day! Pipe broke in my elderly mothers home and it was found much later. Tonya showed up and just took charge, everything was seamless. Working in mold and muck over 100 degrees she just kept bringing up more and more that could be saved for us to sort and go through. She was incredibly patient and gave great guidance. What couldn't be saved she diligently photographed and documented for the insurance claim and loaded into the dumpster for us. What could be saved she photographed, packed up, and labeled to send on for cleaning and return. She was able to save so many of our family heirlooms, books, and even just memorable paperwork I'm truly amazed. When we would lose motivation or hope and it just all seemed too much she just pepped us back up and kept us all working on through it. She was considerate and careful with everything. She really listened to our needs and found creative ways to manage the nightmare. I don't know how we could have made it through all of this without her and I'm so glad we didn't have to! It was a long job and lots of other crew members came through and were great I just don't have their names to sing their praises here too. Mitchell and Alejandro worked their butt off for 2 days making sure that they got as much water out as they could and started the drying process. They also took all the stuff out of the crawl space and separated it from things that got wet or damaged and things that were above the water just to keep things not only dry but also so we could see damage versus maybe no damage.
