Lepanto is in Poinsett County which is the upper delta region of Arkansas. This small town is named after a crusade sea battle that took place in 1571 known as the Greek seaport of Lepanto. John Grisham is a novelist who wrote “A Painted House”, which was filmed in 2003 at this location.
