The population of Silver Lake is approximately 2,400 residents. Silver Lake was named by indians of to Potowatomi tribe who settled here in the 1800's. Now, the area thrives off the natural beauty surrounding the lake. One of the most popular places to visit in this area is Silver Lake Park. In the summers you can find plenty of residents and tourists alike cooking out and swimming enjoying the beautiful summer weather that Southeast Wisconsin offers. You can also find Silver Fox Discgolf course which is a 18-hole disc golf which is free to the public. The Fox River also runs along Silver Lake and with the natural beauty that the lake and the river brings it call also bring flooding.
