Established as Belleview in 1857, Bellevue is home to over 16,000 Wisconsinites on the East side of Green Bay. The reasoning behind the first spelling is because Bellevue roughly translates to ‘beautiful view’ in French, which in fact, this village has a lot of. Bellevue runs alongside the East River, allowing for beautiful and natural wildlife from turkeys to deer and many different types of birds. Bellevue was identified as a town until 2003 when the Secretary of State issued the Certificate of Incorporation changing the identification to the Village of Bellevue. Bellevue is also home to corporate and civilian attractions like the headquarters for KI, which a large office furniture company with a huge warehouse and office space right in the heart of the area, as well as the Kroc Center, which is a recreational center that opened 2011.
The Village of Bellevue is proud of their longstanding business association, now known as the Bellevue Business and Professional Association, which was founded in 1972, with the first ever meeting being held on January 20th. Back then, it was called the Bellevue Businessmen’s Association, and held meetings quarterly with the intent to network, share concerns, and gain updates on developments in the area.
