The Island of Ketron is a very private and quiet island, a whole 221-acres with a population of 17. Tucked away in the Southern Puget sound just off the shoreline of Steilacoom, Ketron Island offers privacy and solitude to its residents. The island was supposed to be named William Kittson of the Hudson’s Bay Company, who supervised the construction of Fort Nisqually in 1833, according to the book Washington State Place Names. The name was bungled while transcribed to a map, giving the island its name, we know today. The Pierce County Ferry comes 4x a day, however many of the residents use their own boats to reach the mainland in Steilacoom. Even in an island as secluded and peaceful as Ketron unfortunate events like Water and Fire damage can still happen. I called SERVPRO of Tacoma after extensive smoke damage made my house uninhabitable. Jason came over right away and immediately won my confidence with his understanding of the situation and plan of action. He worked with my insurance company and put his team to work. Latonya managed the project in the house with a degree of care and attention (for me and my belongings) that reassured me, everyday, that this disaster was being handled in the best possible way. She was extremely thorough, professional and personable. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Our hotel had major water damage in 3 rooms. Jason and his team immediately jumped in and handled the problem with no disruption to my guests. Jason was professional and was always available by phone. He made sure I was up to date on the time frame and process. The team was awesome as well. What a well run company!
We had expensive damage to most of our flooring and some of our walls due to a long term hot water leak under the house. SERVPRO came to the rescue. They were courteous and respectful as we were living here much of the time they were working. Jason and Leonard were responsive to all of our questions and concerns about the work that need to be done. We are renters so they were responding to both our family's questions as well as the owner of the house. They were also knowledgeable and informed us of what to expect as the process proceeded. We have young children so they were respectful with their language and conduct and kept the environment as safe as possible for our family.
